The increasing rate of disassembly projects through 2017 and 2018 has led to a high customer demand for inventory warehousing, and associated third party logistics services. In response to this demand, eCube Solutions has leased the two adjacent hangars to the original hangar in which the headquarters was based. Each hangar is over 55,000 sq, ft. (approx 5,200 sq.m), yielding a total storage space well in excess of 100,000 sq. ft.
Within one of the hangars there is a fully-racked climate controlled room of 6,000 sq. ft. floor area. The racking can accommodate 1,300 pallet positions, and the temperature is typically maintained at a constant 21 degrees Centigrade. It is envisaged that this room will be particularly useful for storing sensitive avionic units as well as technical records, which may be prone to damage in cold or humid conditions.
This expansion of infra-structure also comes with more apron are surrounding each of the hangars, which will allow more aircraft parking capacity.
