During the summer of 2016, the last three long range B767-300ERs were retired from the British Airways fleet at the eCube facility after a service period of 25 years.
The aircraft made their last flights by hopping over the perimeter fence from the British Airways Maintenance facility at Cardiff Airport to St. Athan just 4 miles away!
The three airframes were sold for part-out projects which were conducted during the winter of 2016, and the last of the dis-assembled hulls is now awaiting final disposal, bringing an era to an end in the British Airways long range fleet. The B767 operation has been replaced by the new B787-9 fleet which have steadily been growing since 2015.
